Zusammenfassung
Es wird über die erfolgreiche Durchführung einer Peribulbäranästhesie bei einer Patientin mit Myopia magna berichtet. Mit Hilfe der Sonografie der intraorbitalen Strukturen vor der Punktion konnte dargestellt werden, dass die parabulbäre Punktion ohne erhöhtes Bulbusperforationsrisiko anwendbar war.
Die Peribulbäranästhesie wurde daraufhin komplikationsfrei durchgeführt und die Patientin erfolgreich operiert.
Summary
This case report describes the successful execution of a peribulbar anaesthesia in a patient with high myopia. The intraorbital anatomic structures were visualized preoperatively through ultrasound investigations thus confirming that the procedure could be performed without an increased risk of bulbusperforation. The peribulbar anaesthesia was subsequently performed without complications and the patient was operated successfully.
