 ving a strong impact on life in Germany. The number of infections makes it 
 very difficult to plan meetings safely.\nIt is not foreseeable whether the 
 restrictions will be relaxed by April 2021. As a conference organization, w
 e must take the special situation into account and protect the health of al
 l participants as best we can. We have therefore decided to have the DDG co
 nference 2021 take place purely virtually. This seems to us to be the only 
 safe and predictable way.\n\n\nWe would therefore like to cordially invite 
 you to the first virtual annual conference of the German Dermatological Soc
 iety 2021 from April 14th to 17th, 2021!\n\n\nOur program, which was alread
 y published in the preliminary program, will be retained as planned. Howeve
 r, we will limit the speaking times for the individual contributions and al
 low more space for interaction and discussion.\n\n\nHighlights are the plen
 ary events with outstanding speakers on new developments in our field as we
 ll as courses on practical aspects of dermatology. In addition, parallel ev
 ents on special topics and the tried and tested track system for young derm
 atologists and as a refresher course for the young at heart are planned.\n\
 n\nThematic focal points are also deepened in the meetings of the DDG worki
 ng groups. The ePoster exhibition with over 300 abstracts will give a clear
  overview of clinical and scientific developments in our field.\n\n\nThe pa
 rticipant prices have been adapted to the virtual format. The early bird de
 adline has been extended until February 9, 2021.\nOf course, the 51st DDG c
 onference will again be certified by the Berlin Medical Association. Select
 ed content will also be available on demand after the conference.\n\n\nIt i
 s our goal, with our major advanced training event, to convey the most impo
 rtant things from clinical dermatology and much more besides in a virtual a
 tmosphere to you in the new format. Please also participate virtually in th
 e discussions and give us feedback as to whether you liked the concept of t
 he conference and which topics are of interest to you!\n\n\nWe look forward
