Zusammenfassung:Wir berichten über eine sekundäre intravasale Dislokation eines thorakalen Periduralkatheters bei einer 35jährigen Patientin, bei der abdominelle Endometrioseherde reseziert wurden. Nach komplikationsloser Anlage des Katheters für die intraoperative Verwendung sowie die postoperative, patientenkontrollierte Analgesie trat nach zunächst unauffälligem perioperativem Verlauf am 4. postoperativen Tag ein generalisierter Krampfanfall auf.
Nach Diskonnektion konnte am distalen Katheterende Blut aspiriert werden.
Summary
Summary: In the present article, a case of secondary intravascular dislocation of a thoracic epidural catheter is reported in a 35-year-old woman who underwent laparotomy for resection of endometrial tissue. The epidural catheter was inserted without complications for intraoperative use as well as for postoperative patient- controlled analgesia. After an initially inconspicuous perioperative course, the patient developed a general seizure on the fourth day after the operation. Blood could be aspirated at the distal tip of the catheter after its disconnection.
