Zusammenfassung
Fehllagen von zentralvenösen Kathetern (ZVK) gehören heute dank standardisierten ultraschallgestützten Punktionsverfahren zu den seltenen Behandlungskomplikationen, welche durch elektrokardiographische und bildgebende Verfahren frühzeitig erkannt werden können.
Im hier geschilderten Fall führte ein initial korrekt platzierter ZVK im weiteren Verlauf zu einer vitalen Gefährdung der Patientin.
Summary
Today, due to standardised ultrasound-guided puncture procedures, the incorrect placement of central venous catheters (CVC) is one of the rare treatment complications that can be detected at an early time using electrocardiographic and imaging procedures.
In the case described in this article, an initially correctly placed CVC led to a situation threatening the life of the patient in the further course of treatment.
