Bitte beachten Sie zur Einreichung von Beiträgen unsere Autorenhinweise sowie für CME-Beiträge unsere ergänzenden Autorenhinweise „CME“. Einen Auszug daraus mit einigen zu berücksichtigenden Punkten finden Sie im Folgenden:

• Alle Manuskripte, die bei der Zeitschrift „Anästhesiologie & Intensivmedizin“ (A&I) eingereicht werden, müssen in Übereinstimmung mit den „Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals“ des International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (www.icmje.org) erstellt worden sein. Grundsätzlich dürfen nur Arbeiten eingereicht werden, die noch nicht anderweitig in ihrer Gesamtheit oder in Teilen eingereicht oder veröffentlicht wurden (ausgenommen ist die Veröffentlichung wissenschaftlicher Abstracts) und für die der erstgenannte Autor das Urheberrecht sowie alle Verwertungsrechte besitzt.

• Alle Manuskripte werden einer Begutachtung durch Mitglieder des Redaktionskomitees und/oder externe Gutachter unterzogen (Peer Review). Schriftleitung und Redaktion behalten sich das Recht auf ggf. erforderliche redaktionelle Änderungen der Manuskripte vor, die dem Autor vor Drucklegung zur Kenntnis gebracht werden.

• Angaben, welche die Identität der Patienten/Probanden offenbaren könnten, sind strikt zu vermeiden. Bei Untersuchungen mit Patienten/Probanden muss im Manuskript zu Beginn des Abschnitts „Methodik“ eine Erklärung enthalten sein, dass das Versuchsprotokoll das zustimmende Votum einer Ethikkommission erhalten hat und der Deklaration von Helsinki in der jeweils gültigen Fassung entspricht. Ebenfalls erforderlich ist der Hinweis, dass alle Patienten oder Versuchspersonen nach umfassender Aufklärung ihre schriftliche Einwilligung gegeben haben. Das zustimmende Votum der Ethikkommission ist bei Einreichung des Manuskriptes in Kopie beizufügen.

• Jegliche finanzielle und materielle Unterstützung der eingereichten Arbeit muss von den Autoren entweder auf der 1. Seite des Manuskripts oder in einer Danksagung angegeben werden.

• Eine Übersicht zu Rubriken und deren Umfang (z.B. Originalarbeiten – max. 4.000 Wörter, Übersichten – max. 5.000 Wörter, Sonderbeiträge – max. 2.500 Wörter) sowie die Gliederung dieser Beiträge sind dem ausführlichen PDF zu entnehmen.

• Zur Drucklegung wird das Manuskript als Word-Datei (.doc) benötigt.

• Alle wissenschaftlichen Beiträge sollen 3 bis 5 Schlüsselwörter/Keywords enthalten. Die Keywords sind der Liste der Medical Subject Headings (MeSH®), dem indexierten Vokabular des Index Medicus, zu entnehmen (www.nlm.nih.gov/mesh).

• Die Zitierweise richtet sich nach den Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals (www.icmje.org).Für die Nutzer der Literaturverwaltungssoftware Citavi stehen unter dem Namen unserer Zeitschrift die Richtlinien als Zitationsstil auf www.citavi.com zur Verfügung. Sofern vorhanden, bitten wir um Angabe des DOI, der PubMed-ID sowie der PMCID.

• Abkürzungen sind bei ihrem ersten Auftreten im Text auszuschreiben (sofern es sich nicht um gängige metrische Einheiten handelt). Titel, Überschriften und Zusammenfassung dürfen keine Abkürzung enthalten. Geschützte Warennamen, Handels- und Gebrauchsnamen müssen als solche gekennzeichnet werden. Es sollte daher der international empfohlene Freiname von verwendeten Arzneimitteln angegeben und das eingetragene Warenzeichen in Klammern nachgestellt werden bzw. bei der technischen Ausstattung der Name und die Adresse des Herstellers angeführt werden.

Please send a “Cover letter from the Author” for each submitted article via mail to the editors.

Please also take account of the "Information for Authors" in submitting an article. For a CME article, also read the “Additional Information for Authors”.

• All manuscripts to be submitted to the journal A&I have to be compliant with the “Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals” of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (www.icmje.org).As a matter of principle, only manuscripts are allowed which haven’t yet been published, in a whole or in parts (except as scientific abstracts), and for which the author first named has the copyright and all other exploitation rights.

• All manuscripts are being peer reviewed by members of the editorial department/board of editors/external experts. The editor-in-chief and editorial staff reserve their right on editorial changes of the manuscript if necessary; the author gets information on these changes before the manuscript is going to press.

• Specifications which reveal the patient’s/proband’s identity have to be strictly avoided. The chapter “methodology” of manuscripts containing examinations with probands has to include a declaration that the trial protocol has received the consent of an ethic committee and is consistent with the current version of the Declaration of Helsinki. It also has to contain a note that all patients and/or probands have been comprehensively informed and have consented to the trial in written form. The consent of the ethic committee has to be attached in copy to the manuscript when submitting.

• Any financial and material support of the submitted manuscript has to be declared by the author either on the first page of the manuscript or in an acknowledgement note.

• A survey of the rubrics and the extent (e.g., original works – max. 4000 words, surveys – max. 5000 words, special article – max. 2500 words) as well as the disposition of these articles can be found in the PDF.

• For going to press, the manuscript has to be submitted as a WORD document(.doc).

• All scientific articles have to contain 3–5 key words. The key words are found in the list of the Medical Subject Headings (MeSH®), the indexed vocabulary of the Index Medicus (www.nlm.nih.gov/mesh)

• The way of citation is according to the Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals (www.icmje.org). For users of the references management software tool Citavi, the terms of reference for citation are found under the name of our journal on www.citavi.com. We ask you to name the DOI, PMID, and PMCID, if existent.

• Abbreviations have to be written out when first appearing in the text (except usual abbreviations as metric measures). Neither title nor headings or summary are allowed to hold abbreviations. Registered trade marks/brands have to be marked as such. Therefore, the international non-proprietary name of drugs should be used, and the trade name added in brackets, or, with technical devices, the name and address of the manufacturer.

• The corresponding author is asked to give an ORCID-ID, if necessary to create one for providing it: https://orcid.org/.
