The reduction of pollutants and especially particulate matter for gasoline direct injection engines is an important topic which still is being scrutiniced by governmental authorities all over the world. As a matter of fact CO2 emissions and toxic exhaust gas such as nanoparticulates are to be reduced. In order to adhere to future regulations of the EU6c, technological standards of exhaust aftertreatment systems for gasoline engines will have to be improved through in engine emission control or gasoline particulate filter technology?
